Last days in Lisbon

These colorful paintings are located near the Equity Point Lisboa Hostel.

I like this small one the best. The texture gives me ideas for fabric patterns. There is art that makes me go "WOW" and more subtle art that makes me visit my own drawing board to expand on the experience.

Up the stairs cats stare at me taking photos of the walls. Under a car next to the entrance, more cats watch my strange behavior. I wonder if they watch the artists in the night that put up these paintings.

Lots of stairs to climb in Lisbon. By the last days I am loving it, even in the heat, even with the slippery stones, even sick. For three nights I hang out here with hopes of feeling better before flying to Paris. I leave only once to visit a photographer, Joao Grama. When I return I am sick all night, but it was well worth it to meet the artist. Here is a sample of his work, but please do click on his name to see more on his website.

Staying up sick in the common area I am also happy to talk about street art with Nelson. He tells me about Style Wars and I love Graffiti. Thanks to Nelson and mood lighting, being sick is not so bad.

The view from the balcony is more beautiful at night with only the sound of wind and the moon shining through the clouds.

I manage to sleep four hours. Then I'm out the door and waiting for the bus to the airport, the view from the bus stop...

At the airport my luck continues to improve! A women I enjoyed a tour with earlier in the week finds me. By the time I settle into Paris I am no longer sick. It's a good start to the end of this Euro Trip.
